Another time I had a dropcloth down in the living room and was painting some furniture. I had the top of the paint can sitting face up on the dropcloth with black paint on it. She walked right on it and then proceeded to track little black pawprints all over the carpet. The landlord was not impressed. That's the kind of stuff she does.

I feel your pain. She's pulled food off the coffee table in the living room, leaving permanent mustard stains (we were having hot dogs). We had to move the couch...they wouldn't come out!

Oh! Here's another fun one. I hung up some curtains in our living room - ceiling to floor....I thought I had the rod mounted into the studs, but I was a little off on one side. Never had any problems with it, until she decided to run and jump onto the curtains, and the rod yanked out of the wall on that side, taking with it about a 5"x5" chunk of sheet rock with it. Yeah. My fiance was THRILLED about that.

She's also knocked over lit candles, spilling wax on the carpet...Its a miracle our house didn't burn down. She loves to just walk by stuff and knock it over. And she doesn't care if you see her. She's evil.

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
Wow, that made me wince and laugh at the same time. I thought Pookie was your only cat. I guess you have two?
Destructo is just accidentally destructive. I did have a very bad cat one time that was very smart and very evil. She would look right at me and dig up my plants, knowing the whole time it was peeing me off. My ex bf that I lived with at the time was also very bad. So when we split, he got custody of the bad cat. It was a match made in heaven.
And the Siamese used to pee on the walls. Thank God he doesn't do that here.

 she pulled sheet rock out of the wall with the curtain rods. Whoa..... That's an advanced case of badcattedness.
Destructo has done the candle wax thing too (though really I'm the one who can't be trusted around candles....). She also likes to walk by candles and dip her tail in the flame. Whenever I'm eating something she wants (like cereal with milk) she walks back and forth dipping her tail in the bowl. It drives me nuts!

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
Here is a poem I once wrote about Destructo:
The Legend of Destructo:
In the heat of the day
And the still of the night
Lies a cat named Destructo;
Her name suits her right
Her primary mission:
To seek and destroy
Her main fascination:
What will be her next toy.
An innocent foot under covers in bed
Or a neat stack of papers calling out to be shred
A picture that hangs enticingly on a wall,
Or a vase filled with flowers that surely must fall......
No one would guess one as cuddly as she
Could be quite so destructive; it's inbreeding, you see.
So tonight as you lie down and turn off the light,
Remember Destructo, and keep your feet out of sight.
LOL

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
And this was the message that used to be on my answering machine:
There's a cat named Destructo;
No, the name's not in error.
Though by night she is cuddly,
By day she's a terror.
Houseplants are in peril;
Fine clothing is doomed.
She requires just seconds
To demolish a room.
Claws like razors, teeth the same,
Leave us a message
While the answering machine remains
(Destructo destroyed 2 answering machines).

Re: The Useless Large Thread... Part II
I had a female cat that would pee on any visitors stuff. It tried tunneling under my bedroom door to get in, and dug up all of the carpeting. It used to freak out and run across the room and race up the door jam and hang from the top of the door frame by it's front claws. Just hang there, for no reason. If you bent over to pick something up, it would jump on your back and try to lay there, and if you tried to stand up straight it would dig in it's claws.
I had this key tied to a string and I would bounce it over it's head and it would do back flips trying to catch it... 5 feet in the air, which was cool, but all of that other crap sucked.

"She" didn't pee on my stuff .
Edit: I had two cats, both female. She would have been the butch one. She was all white. I referred to her as crackerhead. The other one was Lucy Furr.

I think mine is related to yours....she does that same weird stuff. No key on a string though, she spazzes out over my little dog's leash. She does the back thing too. Also, if you stand by the couch, she'll jump on the back of the couch, and then aim for your head -- claws out...And she likes to chew on hair too. Anyone who wears their hair down around here will probably have her try and chew on it. I think her mom did crack when she was pregnant, because this cat is NOT normal.
Do you still have your cat?
.
Edit: I'm uploading a picture of her attacking my back/neck/head right now. The picture was taken as I was screaming in pain and trying to get her off of me lol.
