There was an episode of Star Trek, The Next Generation where they visited a very peaceful planet that had no criminals. That's because the punishment was the same for any infraction, no matter how small. Murder, jaywalking, stepping on someone's lawn with a "no trespassing" sign.....the punishment was death. Seemed to work for them. Something to think about.......

Murder=death penalty(dp)
Sex crimes against children=dp
Attempted murder=dp
Violent rape=dp (some others in this cat. would apply also)
B and E a home with a deadly weapon=dp
Violent child abuse=dp

Might seem harsh to some, but too bad. If your capable of doing anything on the above list......I don't see the need to share air with you.

No early outs for other crimes....set a length of time and that is final.

If I remember right, didn't Wesley almost get the dp for stepping into a flower bed? Seems a bit harsh.
