i think they need to put more effort into more fuel efficient cars, and make more hybrid cars (i saw one hybrid that got a whopping 72mpg!!). i didnt like the look of that particular car, and it was a little small car....but if i could get that many mpg i would buy it!!

Yes, but is every price Redtail Mustang posted per gallon? A lot of those countries use liters, so if the price is per liter it isn't any better than here.

Re: Gas Prices
I don't think the government should reduce the speed limit. People want to save money while driving, let them hold it upon themselves. I, for one, do not like going 55 on the interstate and would be somewhat irritated. Not my fault other people can not think for themselves, not like it's new news that driving slower saves gas. Don't make your problem mine.
Want to save, by all means, but don't make my life suck because others need a babysitter.
Also, I recall reading a few articles showing how hybrids, and the few fuel alternatives we have actuallly cost more to produce/use/maintain/ect. Don't recall the facts but I'm sure google can help for any who are interested.
As for me, I've adapted. I accepted that I will never see fuel under 4 dollars again, even if we tap our own soil.

Re: Gas Prices
I agree that people will have to adjust their life styles. For example, when I purchased my condo last year, I did so at one that's only 5 miles away from my office. Last winter I rode my bike to work about 3 days a week. It actually only took 10 minutes longer than driving did (14 min commute, 24 min bike ride). I loved getting out in the fresh air and I found myself both in a better mood when I got to work and when I got home in the afternoon.
Yesterday I filled up with gas for $4.39 (91 octane), I'll definitely be riding my bike again once summer is over.

Wow.
When the prevailing traffic flow is 70-80, anyone going 55 becomes a traffic hazard. That's stupid. What if the limit was 85 for a few years, then went back to 70. Would your life suck then?
