Oh, I hope he's alright. I had heard about his hoof problems, now I'm going to be a worrywart until I see him cross that finish line at Belmont.

My husband thinks I've gone nutty. He keeps asking when I suddenly got into horse racing.

Yes he has very brittle feet and has to be shod basically in glue and brass clips instead of shoes because the nails would break his fragile hoof walls. Which is why this crack is more serious on him than on any other horse.

They've got the best man in the country working on him so hopefully he'll have him ready to fly in a little under two weeks.
