How many of you follow the 6 foot rule

I just wanted to see how many of you snake lover's follow the 6 foot rule.

Well I don't have any 6 footers or over, personally. Though I did handle my friend's 8 foot burm a couple of weeks ago and there were two other people present, with more in earshot if needed. I don't plan on getting anything especially huge (unless my boas decide to get unusually large) but if I did, I would definitely stick to the six foot rule. I'm 5'3 and about 105 pounds, no way am I going to handle anything that big alone.

I picked depends on the snake because when my woma's hit 6 feet I dont feel that I will need another person in the room. When it comes to the large guys and large boa's I will always have another right there.

At first I thought you were talking about illegal activity LOL. I don't have a snake over 5' 6" so I don't worry about him. I'm 6' 4" my self. I don't feed him while I'm home alone though. Just for safety. I don't think anything will ever happen but you never know. I feed him in a separate tub and while he is rapped on it I put him back in his cage on top of some news paper so he can eat it.
I handled a 8 foot snake at the pet shop but I had the workers there to help me if anything went south.

chance even though she is 100% mellow i follow the rule. little max i dont cause he is way to thin to worry about.

i think it depends on the snake...like my rainbow for example, she'll max out around 6ft or so...just to be careful im going to have someone else with me most of the time...but every now and again i'll handle her alone as long as she maintains her gentle nature...plus, im 6'3 270...i can handle most 6ft snake by myself...but there are exceptions

I follow it because Boo is so strong , he could squish me like a bug and I KNOW IT!! lol
