Re: BBQ Talk
This thread is making me starve.
I'm going to have to Q now that school is over and I have time on weekends.

Re: BBQ Talk
My grandpa and his brothers make some darn good smoked turkey, venison, and hog! It's the best thing about heading home on breaks!
My great uncle has his own smoke house that he built. It's huge and they make huge quantities of yummy things in it every year. And they use it year-round!

Re: BBQ Talk
What a tease--I thought you were inviting us to a BBQ! I cooked some shish-kabob on my tiny indoor electric grill last weekend. That is the extent of my barbecuing.

I'd love to have a smokehouse...but not on this tiny lot.

I can't find a decent pork butt here in TX to save my life. Cattle is king. I actually had someone bring me good pork from out of state.
For now I'm using a Char-broil water smoker, but I've got my eye on a big box. The one I'm using now is OK, but difficult to manage in the cold weather.

I'm relatively certain there won't be leftovers. We've got 5 gallons of margaritas mixed up already, too, so I suspect anything that doesn't get eaten at dinner is gonna end up as a snack around 11:30.

Re: BBQ Talk
Love to bbq here . We just bbq some potatos , sweet white corn on the cob, and steaks the other day . Love grilled food . Like it better than house cooked . I would do it everyday but we have had so much rain here .

And since this is the only topic I can get away with saying such a thing in...

Re: BBQ Talk
Watsoncj,
I went and checked them out and decided on large....

The last one is a cast of a rubarb leaf that was to be a bird bath....the kitty claimed it for her nappin spot when on the leash.
Testing the grill as I type...updates to follow.
