I would like to put out some info that might make some of the anti Petco people cheer. (just a little) Petco has started a pilot program in quite a few of their stores that involves reducing animal stock!!! Basically they are going to be downsizing the animals that they sell. Not sure what's going on with that yet, but there are a lot of stores that have already emptied the habitats. Yay for no more undersized homes, incorrect temps/humidity, etc. I am ecstatic!!! No one is happier than I am about this. And believe it or not, this is coming from me... A not in it for the money, definitely underpaid, knowlegeable Petco employee.

I believe it's nationwide. There are four stores within a fifty mile radius of me, and three of them are doing the downsizing. I was waiting to be bashed for mentioning my employment status there, but believe me when I tell you that I am that Petco employee that sometimes rides the fine line of unemployment for doing what's best for the critters in my care, and NOT what they think is right. There have been many heated arguments between myself and co-workers concerning animal care.
