Went for a walk yesterday
We went for a walk yesterday at one of our parks in the woods . We only seen some caterpillars in the woods and a bunch of ticks on me lol . Was hoping to find some snakes . Did not see one until we went out back in the Jeep and to drive off . We seen on little black racer snake . Went to touch his tail cause I wanted to see how his temperament was before me or my husband went to pick him up it was so cute . He curled up real quick raised his head and started to rattle his tail ( with no sound ) it was to cute . The last picture is of him doing it . Sorry about the picture quality not the greatest . Cant wait until we get a new one .

i have a story similiar to this minus the racer. I came in contact with an eastern Indigo. That is a very beatiful and large snake. I wish i had my cellphone with me to take pics  |

Your snake is not a Black Racer (Coluber constrictor) but rather a Black kingsnake (Lampropeltis getula niger)....which is pretty nice find! Congrats.

It is a black kingsnake . Thanks for that correction . We found a black racer at the end of our drive way a few weeks ago . Thanks again .
