Re: Do you love your job, or hate it?

I work for NECI (New England Culinary Institute) and it was cool when I got hired as a full time line cook. Then at the end of last summer they decided to cut all of the full time cook positions and fill the opennings with students. So to keep my health insurance I took a job as a dishwasher there. The pay is alright, the bennies are good but my job completely sucks and I'm over qualified for it. But there is nowhere else I could work where I would be able to get health and dental coverage for me and my wife for under $200 a month.

Joe, you already know how I feel about my office job. But I love the healing/massage job. I feel it is what I was meant to do.

Re: Do you love your job, or hate it?

I have loathed all of my jobs except when I worked in my dads shop. I love older cars more than newer cars so I would love to work in a classic car shop but just working on cars i enough. If I'd win the lottery I would either start my own classic car shop or just buy them and rebuild them.
The only thing I would like to do more than working on classic cars would have to be painting I miss painting I haven't even done sketch in over 2 years....
But since I'm still unemployed and I get these offers then they just fade away into thin air I would love any job right about now.

Re: Do you love your job, or hate it?

I get asked to do art-related projects quite frequently. I'm a zoology major at school but I've had other professors pretty much try and convince me to switch majors. Art was one, as well as engineering. The thing I always felt was that it'd be easier to be a vet (this was before I lost my ambition for basic classes) and do art on the side than be an artist and do vet work on the side.

Re: Do you love your job, or hate it?

I LOVE my job!! I love little kids, and being a nurse. And I love challenges, which I get every day; there is always stuff to cope with that isn't in nursing textbooks, like what to do if a kids swallows the change he gets at lunch from the cafeteria cashier; and of course I was the one they called one time when some kid brought a snake to school in his back pack, lol.
Yesterday, I got to go to the Houston Zoo for a little while on company money so I could meet up with the field trip group and give medication to one of the students, it was a gorgeous day and I loved that I was able to enjoy myself so much while 'on the job'.
I love helping families, helping people, and solving challenges.
I don't like very much, people who go on little power trips; not at work, not anywhere. Fortunately, my training to be an attorney is helping me find ways to just bulldoze over twerps like that.
I've also been doing freelance articles for some years now, writing here and there for which I actually get paid. I'm amazed and grateful each time I get a check in the mail for my writing because it is something I love to do anyay.

Re: Do you love your job, or hate it?

I love what I'm studying in school, which is filmmaking. I love being on set! There's just nothing like being on a film set when everyone's really into the film you're making, and everyone clicks... It's amazing! Even when something goes wrong, it's fun to puzzle out how to fix it!

I hated my part time job at Staples, but I got fired last week, so I don't have to hate it anymore.
