Man, I am so sick of Verizon, anyone have a recommendation for a company they're happy with?

my best suggestion is to get 2 old soup cans and a 1000ft line of kite string.

lol frag. Megan has Nextel...as best as I can tell, in NC at least, they have some good deals and nice phones and features available. Down here it is a close call...she still uses Nextel but I like Cingular better. My cingular phone picks up service in places where Nextel will not up near my parent's house. This is the only real difference as far as coverage i have found but she has so many more features available that I don't have...but I don't really care about games and calculators and such anyway so for me it's no big deal.

I have used cingular, who I was mostly pleased with (which is about all I can ask these days. What happened to service?). The only other I have used is cingular and I have been pleased with it too. Cingular is paid for by my company though, so that always helps.

HAHA, if i were u i wouldnt need any recomendations thats for sure, if my company paid for cingular thats where i would go! If my company paid for the soup cans with 1000ft. string thats where i would go too, i guess im just cheap though. What kinda bad experiences have u had with verizon. All my friends are quite satisfied with them. I am probably gonna be goin with verizon too, just cuz it will be really easy with them to change the area code on my number since i am back and forth between utah and cali.

What mattered to me was the most minutes without ever having to pay roaming or long distance regardless of where I am....the best deal I found was with Cingular.

I have Cingular as well; not quite sure of who all is in N.C. Eddie should know. I am very pleased with Cingular's service, both customer based and phone coverage. The only downside to them is their choice of phones. They only have a few models, which limits you on the choice of options..i.e. games, ringtones, voice dialing, internet, etc... Not everyone is as old-fashioned like Julius....I look for all I can out of my phone....games especially!!!

I was with AT&T until recently - when they ticked me off by cutting off my service for not paying the bill that I had paid. Now I'm with Cingular (since Friday) and I am NOT happy with the service so far. Can't get voicemail to work. First it had some other guy's voice message on there and once they cleared that off, I couldn't get into voicemail. We called customer service 8 times and one person even hung up on us. I couldn't get reception to save my life (returned first phone, trying new one now). Giving them a week to see if it gets any better. Maybe they were having a bad weekend.
I go for minutes, roaming, and long distance. I need to be able to call my Grandmother in Vermont at any time and not worry about how long I talk to her. Now Cingular does have those roll over minutes, which is a nice feature.
BW's with T-mobile and is completely satisfied with their service.
I recommend going on the Internet and finding out what you can get in you area from these suggestions.

We used verizon at one time and were not happy with them at all wither. we are now using Alltel and they are not too bad. I am thinking of checking out Cingular also when our contract is up just to see about the rollover minutes and see if it is worth the change. But, anyway my point was that Alltel is not too bad and they got some pretty good deals as far as minutes go.
