Heat pads with rubbermaids?

I was thinking about moving all my snakes to rubbermaid containers to get rid of some some of the clutter with all the aquariums...with that said is it okay to put the UTH's (Under tank heaters) directly on the bottom of the tubs? if not how could i do this?

Re: Heat pads with rubbermaids?

I use herpstats. They are pretty good. A dimmer you could either make or find at Lowes/Home Depot.

Re: Heat pads with rubbermaids?

The Bean Farm

They've got a nice little rheostat. Or you could hook a herpstat to a powerbar I'd imagine, and use it to heat multiple tubs at once? Either way, Beanfarm's great. I've ordered from them a couple times now.

Big Apple Herp is another good place.
