Oh, boogins.
Ever notice how, when something bad happens, it's always followed by many more, even worse things?
As some of you know, I'm currently in the midst of my third "bug" this month. Some kind of head cold thing that's turning into a sinus infection. Long story short, I feel like death warmed over, and don't expect to get better any time soon(thank you Bush, for making it so I don't qualify for health insurance) because I'm allergic to most medicines and just have to sweat it out, if you will.
Then my man calls me, and informs me that we can't afford our storage unit fee this month.
I've been helping out a couple that I know who can't afford any kind of child care(they're as broke as I am) and they just had a baby. So I 've been doing some free childcare for them.
I also have meetings that I have to go to to ensure that I can go to college again soon every Tues and Thurs, and another on Fri.
Well. I called the storage unit, and they can't do anything; If I can't pay this month, then on the fifth, I have to pay next month's, this month's, AND an 85$ "lean fee". Making everything a grand $435. Which will inevitably go to collections, because yeah. We're just that good.
So, I told him as much, and he said the best thing would be to clean out the storage unit by Friday, and he'd give me a month to pay off the current balance. Sure, no problem, right? Yeah right.
I don't drive, I'm phobic of even sitting in the driver's seat of a turned off car.(Yeah I'm a real winner, I know. ~.~') My family is afraid this mung I've got is contagious, so they refuse to help, and my man is no longer allowed to use his work truck to do ANYTHING because his stupid co-worker got another (yes another) DUI in the work truck after hours.
So I now have the task of calling everyone I know with a vehicle, and attempt to organize a mass culling of everything in my storage unit. Really, all I need are four good able bodied men, and two, maybe even one good truck, and one, maybe two 4-hour days of work. I'll even crawl my sicky mc.sickerson butt out of bed and haul with the best of them, I'm no pansy.
So far, however, everyone is working, or going to school, or just as sick as I am.
Sigh. I'm up the creek. I feel like stepping off my nut officially. ~.~
Just had to vent. My man and I are problem solving on the phone right now, but he doesn't want to let me vent. Bleh. So I'm venting here. Thanks for listening, I love you guys.

Re: Oh, boogins.
Good luck getting everything worked out! If we didn't live across the country from you I'd send my hubs over to help.

Re: Oh, boogins.
lol, thanks... I appreciate that... I actually just sent an e-mail out to our SCA group. Hoping to get a bunch of our weirdo fringe-friends over to help a poor damsel in distress.....
I tell you what, if you're ever a damsel in distress, call a SCAdian. They actually LIKE helping distressed damsels. :O
Astonishing, I know, and more often than not, they're knights that regularly wear shining armor, too!!!!

Re: Oh, boogins.
Ha, while I'm -still- sick. x.x
Just to emphasize that whole knight in shining armor thing... I dug up a pick of my man that you guys might like. This is from after his heavy fighter's practice.
But naw.. I'm an ingenuitive little thing, I should be able to get this all figured out. But man is it a pain in my keester.
