has any one ever played with this stuff? i was just mixing up a batch, and i was reminded of when i was a little kid playing in the mud! lol. anyways this is some of the best substrate i have ever used for lizards. as i dont put much behind sand.

Ya, I've used the EcoEarth which is the same stuff. Tried it out for my Savu python (she loves to burrow) and it got all in her mouth and caused problems [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif[/img] It works for some animals and not for others..it is fun to watch it expand in the water tho, LOL

yeah its great for some bad for others. spiders seems to love it tho. and my leos, well they are a finicky lot.if they dont have a nice substrate they wont use thier nesting boxes. go figure.

Ive used it for my Ts but i stick to my peatmoss mix and some really nice moss from outside.. My Ts do really well on that mix but when ya run out well off to get some forest bed ...I dont use it for any snakes but the hognose he really likes to get right down in it.. the other snakes get sypress mulch in one end of there cage...
