I am looking for any tips to track down someone. Long story short, they have a pistol that belongs to my brother. He avoids phone calls, and we don't know where he lives. The police say they can't do anything b/c we have no address for this guy.
B/C the item in question is a weapon, it concerns me to not get it back. I do know his ex-wifes name, but they don't have kids together. I know a few other little facts (which I know turn into big facts with something like this) but I don't know how to put those together.
If anyone has any experience with this I would really appreciate any help that you could give.
Thanks,
Ted

This is your chance to hire a PI.
It sounds like the best thing, if not done already, is to report the weapon lost or stolen, just to avoid any problems should it be used in committing a crime...

That has been done J. He reported it stolen as soon as he realized this guy is not going to return it.
A private dick may be expensive...and that is money he doesn't have.

Have someone call him up and act like he is an old buddy from school. Tell them that you owed him $50 from awhile ago, you just need his address to mail it to. Sometimes it will work. Just a thought.....

if you have a phone number from him try reverse look up on the white pages website. I use it to verify that someone is who they say they are when buying a snake from them. white pages

Hey Michelle...I would..but that would be cheating! LOL Besides...I have Don Solo (Morti) to help me!
Great ideas jpaulson and kasper. The phone call thing might just work. On the whitepages thing...the number I have is a cell number. I use that webpage all the time myself!
Keep the ideas coming guys and gals...I need all that I can get.

I gotta ask...How did someone he doesn't know get ahold of his gun? Was he there at a party or something? Surely one of his friends is a mutual friend and can tell you where he lives or works.
