Bored Tired, bored...

It's 7.40am here. I'm awake, and bored, and tired.

Had a terrible day yesterday. x.x

Didn't sleep enough....

Went and got the things last night to build a new hatchling rack, got the polyurethane to seal it with. Got home to find my sav monitor missing.
Ugh. I was an idiot and forgot to seal one of the vents in the ROOF of the cage and he must have jumped up and slithered on out. Tore my whole reptile room apart and finally found him.

Getting him back into the cage he shredded my arms... Neither of the men in the house will get within five feet of the sav, the sissies. They just watched with admiration as I calmly put the lizard away, bleeding to my elbows... lol

He managed to nick me RIGHT on a vein. Yay, now I look suicidal!!!

Anyway.... slathered myself in hand sanitizer and rinsed all the blood off and sanitized again. Dried off and fixed the vent the save was getting out of, then went to seal the wood for the rack.

Ended up, (don't ask me how) getting polyurethane halfway up my arms... and by the by... polyurethane in open wounds? FEELS FANTASTIC!!!

See, most people can't handle hand sanitizer in wounds, but I've been using it so long as preferred wound cleaning solution, it hardly bothers me. Besides, I'm a firedancer, and I do fleshings. Pain is really no big deal.

Polyurethane had me almost in tears. It scared the heck out of my man, he thought I'd cut off a finger or something because pain just isn't a big deal in my book.

Anyway... nothing was getting the stuff off my hands and arms. Not sanitizer, not alcohol, not even whiskey. (whiskey in wounds... not too bad, actually.) Finally we found some lighter fluid(also great in wounds) and that seemed to do the trick when combined with dish soap. Oi vey.

So.

How are you guys??? Talk to me. I'm bored as all get out.

Re: Tired, bored...

lol, hey bad nights happen.

And my men aren't always girly. Just when it comes to the "bitey things". Darius is convinced snakes hate him and want to kill him, and Will has just never been bitten before, and he's deathly afraid of getting bit at all.

Not to mention, I think they were half afraid of me. You should have heard me when the sav wasn't in his cage. Such profanity at such volume has never exitted my lips, except when the polyurethane got into the lizard gouges on my arms.

Suffice it to say, the men were a little cowed. Then when I pulled the sav out from behind the racks, blood dripping to my elbows, they maintained a safe distance. Either from me or the lizard or, heck, both. LOL
