Hardest reptile species to keep
Just a poll to see what everyone thinks is the most difficult species to keep. This will be my poll and only consist of reptiles I am interested in. If you do not see your reptile or one you feel is difficult, feel free to start a new poll. With thousands of reptiles in captivity we can get some cool polls started from this subject. Please answer only using reptiles you have kept or had personal experience with.

Re: Hardest reptile species to keep
I'm going with varanids, with the space they need, the feeding, the lighting, the heating, possible aggressiveness...
Carpets haven't been very difficult at all, in my experience. The brief time I had caring for a tree boa was...memorable, to say the least. But I'd have to go with varanids.

Re: Hardest reptile species to keep
No problem majkill. I would have voted for crocodilians but having never kept them I can not be sure.
Spix14, have you worked with varanids? If so which species?

Re: Hardest reptile species to keep
WHOOPS! I guess my brain is in another dimension...I voted thinking which is the Hardiest reptile to keep...not the most difficult...LOL
Can we change our votes? If not...of course I don't think that a BCC/BCI is not the most difficult to keep. Dang I feel silly...

I don't know how to change the vote, you would have to ask an MOD.

Re: Hardest reptile species to keep
I did pick BCI/BCC. LOL One of my BCI's is the easiest snake you can possibly imagine while the other one is the hardest snake I have owned so far. So it's kind of a toss up I guess. I havn't had much experience in anything else.
