I'm in the middle of a re-read of the Wheel of Time series to honor Robert Jordan's passing.
I picked up Parasite Rex because Raze made it seem so cool, I read a few pages and I like the tone it's written in. I expected it to be dry. It's not.
I have the biography of Billy Bitzer waiting to be read right behind me. He was the first American cinematographer as we know them today. He made around 300 movies before he died sixty years ago.
I also have My Boring #$%^&#$%^&#$%^& Life by Kevin Smith that I savor in slow short doses, because I don't want it to end. I'm about half way through and I started it in December.
I love the Harry Potter series. Love, love, love!
Anything by Poppy Z Brite is great. Also anything by Caitlin Keirnan. They write in a similar gothic real-world-fantasy/horror type genre. Except Brite's latest series is 'foodie fiction' about the restaurant industry, still genius work though. Poppy Z Brite's probably one the most influential writers I've ever read. On my own life, I mean.
The original Dragon Lance trilogy will live in my heart forever.
Catch 22 is one of my all time favorite classics.
If you haven't read Tom Robbins, what the heck are you waiting for? Want to laugh your butts off and learn a lil' something from a fiction novel? Read Tom Robbins!
I read a lot. Sorry, got carried away.
