ummm I guess the stupidest things one of mine did was one of my female copperheads crawled out in front of me to the middle of the road when I was out road cruising. Coulda been worse though...I coulda been a snake hater and smushed her.

I had a baby corn escape and end up in the overflow drain in the tub. Didn't even know she was out til I was getting ready for work and saw her poke her head out. I called work, then tried for at least an hour to coax her out, but she was not coming out of there! Finally got a call saying they REALLY needed me to come in to work, so I shut the door and left. When I got home, she had squeezed under the door and I found her in the hallway. Thank goodness! That was when I first started with snakes, and it was hard to find the nice locking screen tops they have now. All my cages are much more secure now.

When I was 11, I had a seven inch long brown snake that wedged himself into the floppy drive of a really old computer (this was back when floppy disks really were floppy). Well, I started trying to ease him out, lost my balance, fell back and got knocked out... When I woke up a few seconds later (some people were there with me), I had a half of a brown snake in my hand. There were guts sticking out. That was pretty scary for an 11 year old. I cried. OK, here we go. Nothing to top what I've read so far...

When I first got my RTB back in '89, she got loose & couldn't find her for about 2 weeks. Then, one night, as I was lying in bed half asleep, she wrapped around my ankles & scared the crap out of me!

About two weeks after that, just before I left for active duty, I was wearing a pair of fake snakeskin boots & had her on my shoulders; I guess she saw the boots, because she made her way down to my legs & almost gave me a double below-the-knee amputation

I named her Boots, as a reminder of what NOT to wear around her
