Need Herp Pictures of all kinds for my site!

I am putting together a Herp Library page that has pictures of as many types of herps as I can gather pictures of.

What I need is pictures of herps that include most of the, if not the entire, body in a natural looking setting. Meaning, I don't want a pic of your leopard gecko taken through the glass of its cage with the wires hanging down in the background.

I am editting the pics to add the owners name to it so as not to be accused of stealing pics from other people's sites. And if you have a site, I would like to add a link from my "links" page to your site.

The pics are for informational/educational purposes only. The will not be used to represent any animal for sale. They are just an example of the herp.

I just started this today and Michelle (aka LdyDrgn) hs already helped oout with pics of two of her "babies".

If you agree to let me use the picture and it is online, let me know where and I'll grab it and add your name to it. It the picture is not online, please email them to me and let me know what name to edit onto the pic before I post it.

After I get the name added to the picture, I will post it and email you to let you know it is up. You will have to check it out to make sure it meets your approval and let me know.

I do not link to a picture from my site, so it will not effect your bandwidth at all. Not that I get that much traffic [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif[/img]

Sounds similar to the herp-encyclopedia we tried to
get going here .What ever happened to that idea???

Once the cam gets here and if the RTB. idea doesn't take off
,I'll be happy to contribute!.

I would just like to point out the RTB online encyclopedia will NEVER happen, certain people simply will not provide input to allow the project to move forward, they're too busy with other things and too stubborn and prideful to delegate it to anyone else.

You can use anything out of my album as well...there is a nice shot of a brb hanging on a tree in there ya might like...among others....I like to shoot outside when I can.

The Irian Jaya I have is the one from Jules....he has an AWESOME pic of her in there somewhere ... I think, LOL I doubt if I could ever get a better pic than that one! [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

I have a few good pics of my columbian rainbow and my columbian redtail you are welcome to use. They are at www.printroom.com. The albums are called gibson ( the rainbow) and columbian (bci). Fell free to use any pics u want, just let me know what your site is called so I can check them out, please.

I have only worked through a couple of pages on the RTB gallery, so I am sure I will find many more pictures that are needed. Later next week I will post a list of the pictures I have so as not to get duplicates in my email.

You can also feel free to use any of the pics in my album except for the one of the sunglows... that one is not mine to let you use. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img] Like everyone else, just let me know what pics you used and if you would be so good, put a notation under my pics something like "Pic Courtesy of Morti and www.redtailboa.net" That would make me a Happy Morti.

??? ... Thought you were the one handling that project J ?? I thought ya just couldn't get people to give input was the problem was all that it didn't go anywhere even....

Jim.. i'm sure if there's any other person's pics in an album that you'd like to use..They'd let ya np..just shoot em an email and ask is all.

Jim,

When I get my computer back up and running, I'll be sure to take some pictures of my snakes for you that you don't already have on your site. Those include: Hog Island Boa, Jungle Carpet Python, ratsnakes and a few others. I also assume you would prefer normal phase snakes with normal coloration. Because the only gopher snake I have is an albino.

Also, I had no idea that the Western Hognose snake is regularly found on pink carpeting. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img] Hehe...

Hi Jim, your page looks great!

I've have pictures at printroom under "Kohm", as well as on my sites, snakepix
crocpix

They're aren't anything much, but your free to use them. The animals are not all mine. I took most of them in the zoo.

I liked the RTB album idea, though.

Umm, no! I tried and tried to get an answer out of someone (specific) about layout and never got a reply. That was many, many months ago. I had a couple people volunteer to help out, but I had to turn them away b/c the project had no direction. The person in question was aware I was waiting on him, but never made a decision. Go re-read the original thread...

Just wanted to know why you posted this in my thread? Your response should be on the thread above, not this one.

I didn't even see the thread about a herp encyclopedia until after I finshed the second prototype page.

What I am working on is not related to RTB other than I am a member.

If you would like to do this on RTB, go for it.

I am not competing with RTB by doing this.

I don't want to start a bashing match in this thread, I just wanted people to let me use their pics with their permission.

Anyway, I would like to thank everyone who gave me permission to use their pics, and put the call out to anyone else who wishes the contribute.

I need tons of pics! Any and every type of herp you can think of.

And if anyone knows Blackwidow_lady, please pass along a message for her to email me.
I also am including inverts on this page and she seems to have a lot of knowledge in that area.
