Jury duty from Hades
Pray for me. I got tapped for jury duty tomorrow. Ordinarily I don't mind even if I know ahead they probably won't pick me.
But tomorrow is Mardi Gras in Galveston and there will be five zillion people trying to get a parking space, parading, partying, drinking, and there will be evil traffic jams and I hate traffic. Plus tomorrow evening I have a presentation for one of my classes so if I'm sitting on a jury I won't be able to make it for the presentation.
I'm honored to be part of the system of justice but right now I'm feeling very sorry for myself  |

If I get there. If I'm stuck in traffic, they could sent the deputies after me for not showing up. Y'all will hafta send lawyer jokes and stuff to the county jail to cheer me up if the deputies get me. Don't send any red tail boas though or I'll never get out

When they ask you what magazines you subscribe to, tell them "Cat Fancy." That gets me out of it every time. In Denver, it costs more to pay for parking than you get paid every day to serve on jury duty. Really, where's the fun?
