Re: Cameras....
Rule #1 of photography.. The camera doesn't take good pictures. You do.
There is a fantastic photographer that does all of his pictures with, I kid you not, a disposable camera. Some of his prints sell in the tens of thousands dollars.
However, you don't really have a camera from what I can see. It's designed to take videos. I got my Canon SD800 IS for 250. It's a great camera, there are better but remember, better cameras only help great photographers. A photographer that takes pictures on Auto will take the same photograph, no matter if it's high end or low end. So you may as well go cheap.

Re: Cameras....
Why don't you post a few sample pics and perhaps we can offer some suggestions on how to improve the quality. Unfortunately, it's just as easy to take a bad pic with an expensive camera as it is with an inexpensive one.

Re: Cameras....
Well what exactly are you unhappy with?
Those seem like regular pics to me. Close ups maybe?
Its all in the person who is taking the picture, Im using a 6.2 meg Hp Photosmart m547 ad its not the cheapest and not the most expensive and I feel I take great pics with it.
Its really all about you, the lighting, backround, postion its all on you.
So what excatly are you looking for?

Re: Cameras....
Well does you have the options on your camera to switch to close-ups?
on my camera I push menu and all these options for modes like, auto, close up,portrait, motion, etc....

Re: Cameras....
There's a lot of noise on your photos. And it's not very sharp. Can you change ISO's on your camera? Lower ISO will produce higher quality photos.
Lots of light also helps. Photos almost always look better in outdoor lighting.
Try varying your angles. Photos can appear boring because you are looking at it the way you are used to. But by putting a new perspective on a old subject, you can create a unique perspective on it.
