Re: Cameras....
haha no problem with that, at least cameras won't break or anything by a lack of knowledge.

Well they certainly can...but more likely you will just produce crappy pics...As I have already demonstrated.

Yeah, lower ISO poduces clearer pictures. however higher ISO works better for capturing motion.
So you will have more blurry pictures on low ISO. I got a tripod a week ago, my pictures are phenomenal for it. I highly suggest one.
Also try using desk lights. Room lights create some weird effects, but if you put a light setup, you can have some nice shading and detail. See my second Apep and Serena threads that I posted yesterday for the results. It's pretty awesome.
Nothing beats outdoor lighting, though.

Re: Cameras....
A good, expensive tripod is best when using slow shutter speeds without a flash, but look into a monopod. They're much easier to use, and way better than nothing at all. You're more likely to use it, and a tripod doesn't help at all if it's tucked away in the trunk of your car or in the closet. That's where mine stays.

Wow...that was scary. I have a tripod...and it's still in it's packaging....and in my trunk. I need to get that sucker out.
