OK..This is getting a little bit redundant here...

As if it wasn't enough that I had a complaint to nullify at the beginning of the week in regards to "keeping dangerous reptiles around my kids... NOW I had this today...

ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I was on the phone and got a knock on the door. It was animal
control...complaint = I have illegal reptiles here in my home. YEAH RIGHT!
I gave him a tour of what I keep here..He was actually astounded with the reptiles lol...
end result = I educated the officer on reptiles, no complaint....he asked
me to become the city's contact for reptiles under animal control & education
with their officers....they asked me to apply for a special permit that they
have in the city here in relation to wildlife [ I am not required to have
it but they would like me to]...AND GET THIS>>>> I sent the officer away
with a snake hook that I got from Julius also [ they didn't have any...he
told me about a black racer that his officers had to get out of a house
and got bit to #$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^& from it getting it ....ROFLMFAO!!!!
We also actually went over the different aspects of indigenous in the state, venomous [ with my limited capabilites in this area, but more extensive than his lol] , state permitting as well as federal, rehabbing of reptiles , identification of monitors [ they have come across some here in our city and had no clue they are illegal here without a permit hehe. Utilized pics on RTB to verify what he was talking about too hehe], showed him around RTB's site [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img] [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] He even asked for the addy so he can place it in the city's animal control pc's hehe

I really think you should help them out if you have the time. They need a person like you to educate them! Heck, if every state had a person like you to educate their officers and polititions us reptile enthusiests would be in a much better place than we are now! Serously, I know you could really do a world of good for them.

#$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^& these people who are doing this... I hope you know who is doing it and taking good notes. Because one day they are gonna need help and who do you think they will turn to? Yeah, thats right. They think it'll be Lori to their rescue.

Look on the other side of things. Now that they have done this.. You now end up on the Animal control contact list. Hahaha... You got the chance to get animal control on your side. Who do you think AC will beleive if you want to cause these people trouble in return?? They dont have any animals do they? Just a thought.

Keep up the good work Lori.. So far you have somewhat educated DSS and AC all in one week. Hopefully soon these dambarse people will see that they are only digging their own graves. You know what they say.. cry wolf once to many and nobody will believe you. They are well on their way to making that statement true.
