Panic Attack
OMgosh! I had a dang panic attack this morning. Let me start from the benninging. My friend Dani, got a Ball Python about 8 days ago, her mom wont let it stay at her house so it is staying at mine for the week and on November 26 i am bringing it in 2 school. Now Dani is in love with this snake, it is sooo cute. But anyway every morning i check on her and sure she is okay. This morning my whole family was here so i had 2 get ready as soon as i got up so i run and take a shower thinking okay i will check on the snake l8er. About an hour later my sister and her INSANE dog come over so we have 2 put the dog in the basement, where the snake is being housed. When i go 2 put the dog in the basement i go 2 the snake cage 2 put something on top of the cage so the dog wont get her. I also have my gecko's cage right next to the snakes cage. I take the top off of the snakes cage to check up on her. SHE WAS FREKING GONE! I was sooo scared because i didnt see my gecko first. The snake usually gets fed every week, is what the breeder told us but hasnt been fed in 2 weeks so my first reaction is AHHH she ate my gecko! But then i find my gecko no problem, I go crying 2 my mom freaking out about the snake. I turns out that, that snake sure aint stupid, she learned how 2 get out of her cage which was competly shut and went to the spot of the basement where there are usually some rodents! BUt i littertly had a panic attack i thought that that was kinda funny and intersating 2 c that snakes are smart, cuz i always thought they were dumb hahaha

Re: Panic Attack
OMGyourfrekingusernamecracksmeup!!!!! Welcome to the site. Yikes, a snake, a gecko, and a dog all loose in a room......it's anyone's guess who will make it out alive!! Are you feeling comfortable with the set up for your friend's ball? Heat, humidity, etc.? Even for just a week, it's pretty important to make sure you've got that stuff down. Snakes can be amazingly strong! Pet stores sell clips you can clip down screen tops with. Some large snakes can pop those right off anyway. Glad your story had a happy ending.

Re: Panic Attack
I dont think i have ever met a snake that wasnt an escape artist. BUT they can be a hassle when it comes to feeding seeing as it has had a big change i suppose that could effect it
