Sometimes I say (also in very high pitched tone):
"Do you know your mommy loves you? Do you? Do you?" (to which sometimes they may give me a little hiss. lol
I also sing Elvis Costello's Veronica song to Veronica.

Re: Baby talk with your reptiles LOL
usually I start off with
'Hellooooooooo dere!'
and if someone's in a strike pose waiting for food, it's
"GIVE ME Squishies!" or "Gimme a Fatty!"
(F/T prey around here are called Squishies and Fatties, depending on size of course)

Re: Baby talk with your reptiles LOL
i talk all the time to mine. sometimes i just jabber.
usually at chances cage
how is momma's big cow girl today.
i love my angel baby.
i sing 'sunshiny day' to her all the time.
i always yell to her 'i love it!'
max
how is my spoiled little punk today
i love my baby boy as big as a redwood tree
i always tell him too 'i love it!'
oh i always tell him 'i am goona give it away, give this stinky old burm to the first person who wants it'
both of them i say kisses to and i give them kisses cause they put their heads by my mouth
here is stars personal favorite....
one winter i was cleaning cages and jabbering away and out of the blue i said 'it is so cold outside today, do you want mommy to make it some hot chocolate? ( i scared myself that time)
i also sing 'i love my baby and my baby loves me' to both snakes
i also always tell them 'i love it more then any little thing in this world'
this could go on forever cause i talk all day to them. but that stuff is what i find myself saying the most.

Re: Baby talk with your reptiles LOL
I also talk baby talk to other people's snakes as most of you already know. I will do it on the public forum. I have no shame.

Even funnier the second time around. Louise, if anyone ever thought you might not be 'right', that post should remove all the doubt. ha ha ha
