Re: Baby talk with your reptiles LOL
Babytalk is the only way I talk to my snakies! And you can always hear Curtis in the background "Baby...they can't hear you...cause they don't have ears...but I do...and you're annoying..."
Anyway, when I open their cages, I quote Star, and say "Wakey wakey little snakie!!" Then when I get them out its "Goodmorning beautiful baby girl! Did you potty for me last night?" [inspects cage] Then its, "Look booboo its daddy!" [Curtis rolls eyes] "Daddy is being mean. He doesn't want to play." Then I sit down at the computer on RTC or RTB while the girls (whichever one is out) play in my lap. And of course its incessant "Pretty girl!", "You're so cute!", "That's mommy's little angel", etc etc.
Poor Curtis....this happens with both snakes...everytime LOL.

Re: Baby talk with your reptiles LOL
OK.
Tammy goes to her boa tanks.
"Morphy you bad, bad snake!" Morpheus coils back and hisses, ready to strike. Tammy: "Yes, you naughty snakie! You be a good boy today...."
Tammy goes to other boa tank: "He-yo deah widdy cutie-pie! What a good girl you are, yes, a vewwy vewwy good widdle girl." Boadicea ignores Tammy and continue to stargaze and tongue flick.
Tammy, undaunted and light of heart, goes to her iguana cage on the patio.
To Iggy: "Good morning you naughty naughty boy Iggy! Mommy loves you so much and you don't love her at all, do you? No, no no you don't!" Iggy draws back, gets up to his full height and readies his tail for a good hard tailwhip in Tammy's face. Tammy withdraws quietly and sadly.
Tammy moves to Clover's side of the cage. "Ah now there's my baby Clover, you darling widdle sweetipie, how are you ..." touches, strokes and grooms the now almost catatonic lizard.
Don't know why I seemed to have ended up with opposites in personality in the way of my snakes and iguanas. I am beginning to think that maybe I am to blame.....but anyway I love all of them.
Good idea for a thread, Star! You naughty, naughty girl you!!!!

Re: Baby talk with your reptiles LOL
Ha ha ha ha ha.
So I also say in high pitched voice: "Do you know your mommy loves you? Do you?" Do you? (with voice getting higher and higher every time question is asked. Sometimes I will answer myself "I think she does." (The word "does" is very high pitched).
When I talk like this to my cats, they come running with their tails in the air, meowing and rubbing their little faces on me. When I do it to my snakes, they do nothing!!!!!
