this disgusts me....
Report: Disabled kids abused in Serbia - Nightly News with Brian Williams - MSNBC.com
did anyone else happen to catch this on the today show this morning. It was the first thing I saw before going to school, and it ruined my day. I've felt emotionally drained all day becuase I can't stop thinking about hte horror these poor children are going through. I know it sounds like nothing, but i would give anything just to go there and hug them all, and give them toys and other mentaly-stimulating things. The glory some books could bring to those poor children....
sorry. I just needed to vent a little,

I was crying when I watched it and I was crying when I wrote that, and my eyes start to water every time I think about it, which is about every 5 minutes.... I know there's not much I can do to help, but I wish there was.

Most of them have been or are being closed completely and aside from the worst cases, individuals are placed in home settings/assisted living, etc. Even the best institutions are not somewhere you want to live.
