We have to move!
A couple of weeks ago, we got a notice from the people that own the land we live on, were not allowed to have our dog Koda, so get rid of him or move. Koda, is a siberian husky, who is 10 months old, and has never hurt a fly. They said he's dangerous, and could hurt people. But the good thing is, it gives us a chance to buy 40 acres with a house. But it still sucks, because we might not get to spend Christmas in our house, or thanksgiving.

Re: We have to move!
I hear this so much. I've had four Siberians surrendered for being dangerous. And to be frank, I've NEVER, in the 15 years of owning Siberians and 10 years of doing Siberian foster rescue, seen a Siberian that has even as much as growled at anyone outside of treat/food/toy aggressiveness.
They just look dangerous, Ah, well.

Re: We have to move!
pff huskies are big teddy bears. theyre one of the friendliest breeds and were even bred to be companions (as well as sled dogs, obviously) for the children of the chukchi tribes.

Re: We have to move!
In the 8 reported bites of Huskies in since 1984, all of them but one of them were Alaskan Huskies, which is basically a mix of either a Malamute with another breed or a Siberian with another breed. The one that's not an Alaskan Husky is unconfirmed (the dog could not be identified as a purebred or mix).
I think I can pull up this information if it would help you stay. Just let me know.

Re: We have to move!
"Dangerous"? They're kidding, right..? I've owned two Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute mixes, and neither of them ever bit. They were both the biggest softies ever and never showed a speck of aggression (unless someone was threatening us.) The only time I ever saw my female get nasty, was when I had a friend of my Grandmother's Rottweiler take a run at me. That was protection, moreso than aggression..
I agree with Olivetaffy. Huskies are one of the friendliest breeds out there.. It's just their wolfish look that makes them 'mean' looking.. I had a few people intimidated by my female because of her blue eyes, it made her look 'vicious', but she was the biggest sweetheart ever.

Ha, do you mean where you put your finger around his teeth and pull on it? I thought I was the only one who did that with my dogs LOL.
