Praise whatever higher power
My herping buddy and nephew, Sgt Robert Calhoon United States Marine Corp has returned safely from his tour of duty in Iraq with only one somewhat minor injury.
Now when I stop being all emotional I can go out and take down the flag I have been flying day and night since he left.

Re: Praise whatever higher power
A new flag goes up tomorrow at sunrise, but it will come down at sunset.
Roberts flag is very tattered from our frequent high winds and will be placed under glass in a frame as a memento for him of our love and concern during his time in country.

Re: Praise whatever higher power
Thanks everyone as well as anyone who just read this thread and had a good feeling about one of our boys returning home safely.
I will be sure to pass along all of your salutations right after I kick his bottom for breaking his wrist again. I ordered him not to get hurt!
Imagine jumping off the top of a CH-53 just because someone is sending mortar rounds toward your area.
