Xing yi and Tai chi right now. No belt system. I have taken other forms of kung fu like 7 star mantis and snake but the internal styles are so much better and more dangerous. That stomach scar area is still sensitive so getting punched in it was a rude awakening, but now it feels better. Thanks for the gratitude I am glad to be almost over it also.

Very nice. I take Yung Hop Kuen Do which is derived from Kajukenbo (kenpo, Escrima, chinese boxing, judo, juijitsu, karate-Tang Soo Do), and a lot of Kung Fu {Chinese Kung Fu: the Northern Style, Sin-Lum and the Southern Style Hung Gar (Fu Hok Style)}. I love it. Look forward to going everytime.

Re: Paid a guy to punch me in the throat :-)
Thanks everyone. If it was not for play station I would have snapped. I do not know how my fiance put up with my bad temper and extra adrenaline. God of war and mortal kombat is great mental therapy They truly saved my sanity (as if I ever had any).
Dannyboy: sounds awesome. here is the site to my teacher's sifu Little Nine Heaven - Internal Kung Fu School
Luker: good luck finding tai chi if you can go for Chen style.

Re: Paid a guy to punch me in the throat :-)
If you ever come to California, let me know and I can arrange some boxing. You can do martial arts if you want, it makes no difference to me. I always enjoy a good friendly fight. I've been shedding my extra weight lately as my monster apetite dropped in the last month or so. I bottom out at 195 so there's a bit of a size difference between us (I'm 210 now) but with martial arts you just never know.
My younger brother is 165 and the same height as me. He does Jui Jutsu. It's always fun to fight him as I try to stand my ground because once he gets me on my knees or backs, I'm at a huge disadvantage. But the 45 pound difference between me and him really shows.
Always fun.
EDIT: Both me and my younger brother were regional champions in the same class during middle and high school.

Wait. I've done tai chi before. I don't remember any punching or even any contact with others. Is there another kind of tai chi with an attitude that I don't know about?

Tai chi was started as a combat martial art. After the out law of martial arts in China the form was changed to fit more peaceful times. My teacher is learning the original form that predates the boxer rebellion. It is very serious and very dangerous. We practice Chen style.

Re: Paid a guy to punch me in the throat :-)
Your welcome. Many people are not aware of tai chi as combat ,even the millions who practice it.
