tricolors are the typical phase....they look like reverse pattern coralsnakes...red black and white
with tangerines....what should be red is bright orange and what should be white is pale orange ...so you get 2 shades of orange and black.
same snake....different color phases.

ahh cool...very good deal then...milksnakes aren't quite as bad as kingsnakes to eat each other but that is still a risk. Best to kep them housed seperate...If you wish to breed, you will need to cool (brumate) them over the winter and then introduce them in late Feb. BEFORE trying to feed them.
If this is what you plan to do....please talk to someone in depth about how to properly brumate colubrids. The main thing is that before you cool them....make sure they have pooped out any food inside them. If you cool them down with a loaded gut, it will putrify inside them and kill them.

I am planning to breed them. I will post for help when I decide to do so. Now hear this..... Both of the snakes have been kept TOGETHER since they were very young...... I have seen them in the den in the store laying next to eachother. They have been there for about 2 weeks. I asked if they had seen any Aggression towards eachother, the owner said he hadnt seen any. I have a feeling the breeder he got them from always paired his snakes, other then the Kings. Also what should I house them in? All my Corn are housed alone now. Though when I told him I did that he thought there was no need. Stated never to feed together or yes they would eat eachother. I am still not going to house them together. I am getting ready to set up my hallway (we never use) to hold all my snake other then my Boa. I have the temp and humd right where I want them moving her would make me nutts. Thanks for all your help. I'd be los without this site.

Lol How funny. Well I am going to go pick them up at 3. I talked my hubby into letting me get them. I will have 3 Corns, 2 Milks, and my baby Lilly redtail. I think you are the one that said to get more and I told you only one for now. Well now is over. I have 1/2 dozon shakes! 3 dogs 2 cats and a bird. And I still what one more boa (male) and one snow corn (female). My hubby is the best. He wasnt a snake person at all. When I came home stating I wanted Lillie he thought I was nutts. He loves Lillie now, but really likes the corns better. I think its the big snake thing! Lori's King tried to eat my milk! Stupid snake! Don't eat mine! We didn't put them together or anything... We just both had our snakes out, and I walked over to her, and her snake snapped at mine, but he had about three feet of distance between his strike range and my snake. At first I thought maybe my snake just intimidated him, but then I was thinking, well, the King is like a foot longer and considerably thicker than my milk, so... #$%^$%^$%^$%^& king snake!
BTW, I really don't think my snake is too much into snake eating. About a month ago, I picked up some brown snakes and put them in with my snake just to see how strong his ophiophagous tendencies were... But they seem to be non-existant. There's still no way in #$%^$%^$%^$%^& I'd house him with another snake, lol.
