i have to do a project for school where i need to find out the classification of an animal. i need to know the phylum, class, order, family, genus, and species. if someone kan help to tonight please do. thank you.

Do a search on google and get the latin name for the snake of your choice. That will give you the genus and species...then all snake s fall under the Animalia...and go from there. I know it was not a lot of help, but it has been years since I learned all of those terms.... [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

actually yours is correct LD...i took a couple of shortcuts and forgot subphylum and combined species and subspecies....u got him an A ....i woulda got him a B LOL
BTW, deadboy...something interesting you might mention is that species: boa constrictor is the only animal on the planet who's scientific speces name and common name are exactly the same.
