Can't have snakes over 8' in Fort Collins, CO because they are considered dangerous and lethal animals. In Georgia you can have native lizards for bait, but not as pets. The only two I know of, and I don't know why about the Georgia thing, I saw a posting here about it. Check out Google too and do a search for reptile laws, it may help.

It is illegal to possess a snake of any kind in Hawaii. I can kinda understand this though. Hawaii is the home of most of the nation's species of endangered birds. If you read up about the damage that The Brown Tree Snakes did to Guam when accidently introduced...You will understand why they aren't welcome in Hawaii.

One of the stupidest [ yeah i know not a true word lol] laws regarding snakes has got to be the one that exists in MANY places where it is legal to have an RTB , BUT is illegal to have a snake over 6' [ or such] in length.. really makes sense huh ?
Here in MAss. We are allowed to keep HUGE burms with no permits but can not keep GTP or ETB without permits.. Go figure.....
GA has some of the funkiest laws I have seen though. No corn snakes but ya can keep vens ??? [ Juls can clarify that one. Think it has to do with indigenous species though].
Within the 5 burroughs of NYC reptiles are illegal.. Believe this was due to someone getting bitten by a ball python a few years ago if not mistaken.
Search it out.; There's TONS of reptile related laws to find....

Stupidest is a real word.
Stupid
Stupider
Stupidest
I got screwed up on this one, too, once. But it's real. And no, not slang. If you look it up in the dictionary, it will clarify whether or not it is slang.

In Kalamazoo, MI, all snakes are banned within city limits. (Even if the Animal Control doesn't actually care from what I hear from people around here). In Portage, there's not a size limit, but snakes are considered "dangerous" animals. Erkay.
