Come on, place your bets
Well, i finally finished my carpet python enclosure for my soon to be jungle carpet python that i am not allowed to have.
Some History:
This summer in july, my parents went on a vacation for a couple of weeks. Since may, i had a plan of expanding my herp collection, but there is no way my parents would let me. While they were on vacation, i built and filled two large encloures for a yellow anaconda and female BCI. My parents surprisingly took it well, but made it clear that i was not aloud to get another animal.
My original plans were to get a BCI and Jungle or coastal carpet, but i got a anaconda instead of the jungle carpet. So this week, i took an old cage, and modified it and hid it in my closet. I'm getting a jungle carpet this weekend.
How long do you think it will take for my parents to find it. Cmon, place your bets
This is intended to be a fun thread. I don't want to hear "you should respect your parents rules" and stuff like that. You are unaware of the relationship between my parents and I.
I'll post some pics tommorow,

Re: Come on, place your bets
Not trying to rag on you, but with the cage being in your closet, will adequate lighting/heating still be available? (I.E. electrical outlets close enough)
And your clothes may begin to smell funny........lol jk

Re: Come on, place your bets
I say in 2 weeks or less, but i guess its hard to say, i dont know how good you are at hiding things or how often your parents go in your room. When i still lived at home, my room was like Alcatraz. No one came in, no one left.

Re: Come on, place your bets
dont even try to hide it. it would probably in the snakes interest to keep it in the open. you will be found out sooner or later. may as well be sooner. you probably would not enjoy keeping a snake in the closet anyways.

Re: Come on, place your bets
see the smart and mature thing here would be to just not get the snake. they will find it, and chances are they will be angry. do yourself and the snake the favor, and dont do it. how mad you gonna be if/when they tell you do get rid of it?

Re: Come on, place your bets
yeah, I worry that there is some other reason your parents don't want you to have anymore. Mine just don't undertstand them. But when I explain that I am slowly trying to set up breeding possibilities and the "I love this animal, I must have it!" They understand. Hmmm

Re: Come on, place your bets
You got an anaconda? Do you know what you are getting yourself into? Don't those need ponds to soak in? I think the bet would be how long you are able to keep it before it gets too big for you! BTW, I think by the time it reaches 20 feet, your parents will definitely see it.

hmm....boy buys anaconda and attempts to hide it from parents in closet....parents find boy dead. THAT will make a heckuva headline....
