Meerkat Manor Breaking News!!
For all of you lucky enough to get Animal Planet and watch Meerkat Manor I bring sad news from another site.
Flower, Queen of the Kalahari, like her son Shakespeare, has died after being bitten by a venomous snake. 
Sadly that is the nature of wild animals.

I was under the impression they are immune to venom. made they can only take so many hites (9 lives? they are cats sort of okay mongoose)

They are partially immune to some venoms but I don't know anything about what types and how much the immunity protects them. Obviously it was not enough in the case of her and one of her children.

This is just my opinion so don't take this personally, but I think that show is so stupid. I am not saying that meerkats are not fasinating creatures, but I just don't like that show, and again, in my opinion, I would not mind it if flowers tragic death helped the show to be canceled. It seems that snakes in the show are made to be villians. So score some points up on the snake side for a job well down by a Puff Adder. Just my two cents...
