Asking for your thoughts
We just found out there was some sort of accident in the coal mine where my fiance's brother-in-law works. They took him to the hospital but no word on his condition as of yet. We have another family friend who works in the same mine but, fortunately, he wasn't involved. We don't know anything else and are playing the waiting game for now.

Re: Asking for your thoughts
Thanks everyone!
Well, good news! All he had was a concussion and some strained ligaments. It could have been much, much worse. Apparantly the piece of equipment he was working on had bad brakes ... he crashed and was knocked out. It just really makes me panic any time I hear about something happening in the mines. Especially after all of the stuff from last year. The coal company camps may be gone, but many of the companies still aren't much better when it comes to using jacked-up equipment and not looking out for safety.
