Brock lesnar squash!!!!

Well brock won his first mma fight 2night. Now I can't believe I spent $35 to see them put him in with a guy with a 2-5 record. It lasted just over a minute and the guy was man handled. The only good I see coming out of this is hopefully dana white sees it and signs him so he can fight a real fighter and he can learn what mma is all about. Put him in the ring with gabriel gonzaga and he will actualy have a fight on his hands.

Re: Brock lesnar squash!!!!

I didn't get to see the fight, but the last time I saw Gonzaga fight it was just weak. Putting him into the ring with Crocop was just not fair, even though Crocop is so over rated. Gonzaga won that fight with just sheer luck. He will be destroyed by Liddell (or was is Couture...?). Lesnar is a toss up, and totally un proven in MMA. I seriously doubt he will get a fight even with Gonzaga any time soon.

Re: Brock lesnar squash!!!!

My money is on gonzaga in the couture fight!!! lesnar is a man beast but they need to put him in with someone that can match his strength and it will make for a good brawl.

Re: Brock lesnar squash!!!!

I'm definitely all over Couture. I seriously think Gonzaga is a fluke. Lesnar is a beast to be sure, but we will see how he stacks up against the true heavy weight demons....

I gotta respectfully disagree.. Gonzaga is the real deal.. I don't think he will beat Couture.. but there aren't many heavies in the UFC that I would bet against Gonzaga on..

Re: Brock lesnar squash!!!!

I don't believe that you guys put so much on couture. I respect the man as a fighter and for what he has done for the sport but he is old and should of stayed retired. He will lose his belt against gonzaga. Im saying it now so when it happens Ill have bragging rights: )

Re: Brock lesnar squash!!!!

To be honest, I think to many people discount Couture strictly based on his age - Keep in mind, not only he is a freak of nature when it comes to athleticism (Lets face it, he is on top of the ranks in one of the toughest sports in the world, an olympic athlete and has done the eco-challenge several times in the recent past). He also has one of the most analytical minds in the cage.. with an amazing ability to find a weakness and exploit it. I have been a fan of his since the night I watched him beat Belfort back in 96 or 97.. and will certainly be pulling for him that night.

Also, you have to remember, while Gonzaga has skill - he has yet to fight anyone anything like Randy. He had trouble w/ Jordan and Scherner - I am not sure he is ready for the natural.
