sex question

I have a rtb for three years now and was told by the guy i bought it from as a baby that it was female? but last night I was looking her over and noticed spurs? does this mean it is a male???

I believe females have spurs too, they just aren't as large as a male's. You should have him/her probed to find out for sure. Welcome to RTB by the way.

The title got me on that one lol Ya I have also heard that females can have spurs, so like Johnny said you will have to get it probed

Ok I have "heard" some female rtb have spurs, but I have seen many rtb and have yet to see a female with spurs. now this only applies to rtb's because other species of snakes i have seen spurs on both sexes

I don’t know where I heard some females do?? but I can't find any on my females Still a probing would be necessary if Samaul really wanted to know for sure.

My RTB is a female, we had her probed, and she has spurs.But the vet said that spurs weren't a definite way to sex a snake. Welcome to the family!

I just checked my biggest female real close and she has very very and I mean very little spurs
hmm never noticed them before but there really nothing compared to my male. when they get bigger I can usually tell just by looking at there tails and vent although its not 100% accrete.
