Re: Parasite "Brainwashes" Rats Into Craving Cat Urine, Study Finds
There are parasites that get into ants' brains and make them march up to the tips of blades of grass and hang themselves from their jaws until a rabbit comes by. The video that I saw on it showsd the ants starting to go crazy before being completely controlled by the parasite. They then drop on the rabbit, where the parasite reproduces in it's intestines, exits through the waste, and starts over again with the ants...crazy stuff!

Yes I know about these parasites already. I guess no one listened over a year ago when I was suggesting to read parasite rex. All of these parasites are mentioned in this book as well as some nastier ones.
If this stuff interests you buy the book, it is amazing.
Brandon you are referring to the lancet fluke, (Dicrocoelium dendriticum)

Lol, I heard about these a long time ago. I was reading a blog on some site (forget which) that was stating that parasites like these could lead to some crazy zombie outbreak or something.

Thanks Morti, I am hoping somebody here, read the book, it is insane and quite terrifying. Makes you think twice before taking a vacation.
