UFC buys Pride!!
To all you MMA fans out there what are your thoughts on the UFC purchase of big rival Pride fighting? I think its great!!! Get to see all the top fighters now and 1 belt to fight for.

Being into MMA both training and as a fan this is some great news. Now we will be able to see the best in the world compete in the same company. This give the ufc the ability to have many more Great matches with multiply styles of fighters. Also a another great MMA league is IFL which comes on my 9 they have some of the best coaches and fighters in the world as well.

nah ifl is more team based and is good place for lesser known fighters to get there pro start. If you ask me Ifl has more action then ufc. In 2 hours you see like 9 fights you dont get that with a ufc fight and you have to pay for it on PPV.

I don;t think there is anything bad about ufc rules. What rules do you not like not kicking a downed fighter in the head, only glancing elbows, or no groin shots????? These rules are essential for the fighters health and well being. What are the rules for pride that makes it so different I don't watch it so I don't know.

I think its great. I had a feeling this was going to happen. And the IFL coaches are the same as the UFC coaches (well most of them) like Militich Camp ,Gracie,Shamrocks...ETC....Frank Militich and Gracie are stepping into the ring in the next month. I cant wait to see what new fights are going to happen. And hopefully Matt Hughes gets his belt back from that crazy Canadian!

I think it's pretty cool! I train in BJJ, so I have a vested interest in everything MMA. I just have this feeling that the Pride guys are gonna run a train on the UFC fighters...

I have not seen much pride but what I have seen tells me that things are going to get shook up in the UFC.
