Ok, our Debate Forum as you know is still new and so far it seems to be going well. However, I really value everyones opinion on this matter so please vote and leave comments.

So far I really like it, I'm sure as time goes on something might pop up that needs to be changed, but for now its running well, and seems to be a good place to "state your case" without all the other garbage that often was drug into threads.

I think it will work fine with some fine tuning of the rules to better spell out what is and what is not considered a personal attack when dealing with companies in the reptile business. You made a good starting point in your reply to me on the other thread but it just needs to be spelled out more clearly as some interesting facts/view points are currently being left by the wayside in the debates.

And to the others who voted "No" or "Yes, but it needs work" please explain, if not your vote is pointless to us

I voted "yes, but it needs work" because I want to (softly) voice a concern. I see the evolution vs. creation debate and, man, would I like to see this forum stay away from religion and politics unless related to the keeping of reptiles, etc. Personally, with the polarization of each these days, I find it difficult to believe that reasoned discussion/debate will take place on the internet and have seen other forums degenerate radically when those issues are discussed. Just my $.02.

There oughta be a limit on responses of the same nature. 25 posts all saying that live feeding is bad isn't a "debate" it's a mutual admiration society. After a certain number of replies on the same side, someone oughta step in and propose to close the debate(?) unless contradictory opinions are presented. It could always be reopened later (I'd even put that in the closing note) if new materials/opinions become available

The 10 day ban oughta apply just to the debate forum...I understand that there are stricter standards, but some of our most knowledgeable members are there. It'd be a shame if they weren't around for 9 days after a "Help Me" thread was posted that they could have contributed to.
