Folks I swear I read the FAQ but I can't find where it says why a subject in a forum becomes locked to replies??? I was wondering if there's some rule of the site being broken that occurs which causes the topic to be locked to replies?

Just curious, wanna be sure I'm not being an arse when I don't mean to be... I like to be an arse only when it's intended *G*

There are many reasons to lock the forums .
Some are locked to keep people from deleting their posts as in a recnt subject on babies in question.
Other reasons are to let a topic cool or die and to just stop replies when it is needed.
All the reasons are good and its up to our descretion why they get locked.

Usually they will be edited for content due to language etc, and not locked, but when one needs it, we lock it.

Whatever the reasons, they are valid although its not up to us to explain every one that we do it to.

Just look around, we have 70,097 messages.
And only about 30 at the most are locked.
Not too bad , huh?
