Very sad day
My dearest friend(more like my sister) her house burned down this morning.I just got home as I have been over there with her and just needed to de-stress for a few minutes before I go shopping for some more clothes etc. for her and her family.
The house and everything in it was a total loss, including her inside animals. All of the humans are safe and unharmed physically.I just can't explain the devistation.
I have been with her and her 2 year old today up until now and we managed to go to the store here in town and get a few things........but everything is gone.We couldn't save ANYTHING!
I just can't believe it!The fireman said it appears to have started in the living room where the TV was sitting.
Please keep her and her family(there are 4 including her husband and 2 kids) in your thoughts and prayers.
Thanks for reading my babbling and hysteria

Very sorry to hear it. You're a great friend, to be there for her. At least they're OK.

I am also sorry to hear of their losses. I cannot imagine how hard something like that is to deal with.

Thank you all very much!I passed along all of your supportive words and they greatly appreciate it!
Right now the world is spinning out of control for them and it doesn't feel real, they said and i am sure I would fel the same way.The kids are holding up very well and everyone is trying to keep their spirits up.
The insurance adjuster was there this evening and declared a total loss(as if we didn't know that)but unfortunately they didn't have renters insurance. The owner does have home owner's though.
These are wonderful people and very close to my family and I am so extremely thankful they are alright.Although this is a horrible thing that has happened they do still have each other.
The 6 year old lost his hamster, the 2 year old lost her cat and hamster,Erin(thier mom)lost her tegu, cat, fish and hamster. The dogs were outside and they were singed but ok and one cat made it and it is singed and had some respiratory issues but will be ok.
Again, thank you all for your kind words and support.

Oh wow, I am so sorry that happened and glad they're okay... what animals did they have that perished? That's so sad. That's one of my biggest fears is losing everything I have to fire.

Aregntine B/W tegu, hamster's,cats and fish the dogs were outside and one cat made it.
Losing everything to fire scares me also and has for years.I don't know how to be more cautious(sp?) I have to run lights and heating pads etc...It really hit home more than ever today that if I ever have a house fire my animals wouldn't have a chance unless I could get to some of them to save them.I imagine that would be the result in most homes that have herps in them though(i pray we never have to endure that,I wish no one had to experience it)
Thank you all
