World's greatest massage
I have been searching for a really good and affordable massage therapist in Denver. I have searched for years. I am a massage therapist myself, so I'm very very picky. Just tonight I found a guy on Craig's list who is trained in advanced massage techniques. I took a chance and hired him to come to my house. He didn't sound very warm and fuzzy over the phone so I was a little hesitant. He gave me a 3 hour massage (!) and only charged me $60. It was easily a $200 massage. It was the best massage I have ever gotten in my life. This guy really knew his stuff. And he was very professional. Of course it didn't help that my Siamese cat kept getting on the table and trying to pull my sheet down (he likes to knead on my chest). That was really embarassing. I am sooooo relaxed, I just had to share! (I hope I'm not the only one on this site who likes massages......)

I am happy to meet any of you and give you a massage, as I consider you all like a little family. I have been doing deep tissue and neuromuscular massage for many years. I pared down in the last few years because of the damage to my body (I am fairly petite). I also may start teaching massage classes for couples who are willing to get a table (get your mind out of the gutter, though...these are therapeutic massages lol). Sleepy, if I ever come up there, I will work on your back muscles, and you will get the right amount of pressure. Hopefully, I won't get too many people taking me up on the free offer all at once, though! Boafiend, some day you may appreciate a good massage.

It's okay, X-Factor, working on guys is a lot of wear and tear on my body anyway. But you should definitely get one out there.

As a general rule, if they do deep tissue and neuromuscular work, this is a good start. Also for low back problems, ask them if they work the psoas muscle (pronounced So-az). This is a hip flexor, and the #1 source of low back pain. Many massage therapists will refuse to work it and don't even know where it is. They should have had at least 500 hours of training. Some places (like in California) give massage certs with 100 hours. They only learn relaxation but not the therapeutic stuff.
