ok...how about 'Vette owners??
Since the Harley thread went well, how many RTB members are Corvette owners??
It looks like I am picking up a '66 in a few weeks from a family friend. REAL cheap for what it is (327/300 all matching, great shape.)
My stepdad, when he was alive, had a '61 he restored and a '78 Pace Car that was his daily driver. I would do most anything to find his '61. I loved that car.

My neighbor also put one in a pick up. It was a Antique GMC Short Bed (Dont know the EXACT Model). That thing was quick. He also owned a 80's style vette. That was sadly crash into a telephone pole. Great vehicles though in New England not very pratical.

I have been thinking of picking one up. I'am on my sixth GM pick up, it is just old. Driving trucks even if it rides like a Caddy with radio controls on the wheel. If they would of had o% for 60 mos. For press. weekend I would of got one. Who knows I like to work and shop.

How about a 2 time former corvette owner??
I had a C4 a 1993 six speed I bought off a friend who had insurance issues after getting a couple of tickets in it back in 1994. It was a 1993 and that "blackrose" color which actually looks purple.
Second one was a C6 I picked up right after they were released. I always wanted a convertable vette and managed to find one. I put 4700 miles on it and traded it in for something more practical. They are a lot of fun if you use them as "weekend cars" but they get old rather quickly if driven a lot. Plus I am too old, tall, and wide to be doing the "corvette shuffle" daily getting in and out of those low riding vehicles. Plus I like to push a vehicle to it's limits in both speed and cornering ability so me in a sports car is a matter of time before I either kill myself or someone else, and I would rather not have that happen.
But if I were to ever buy another one I would love to get a C1 because they are just the exemplification of classic.
