Upset!!!!
Well as most of you know I went out of town for 4 days. When I got back all of my animals were a mess. Most of the time when I am home everyone is more then helpful around here. While I was gone noone watered or fed anything. I was hurt by the lack of effort around here. It took me 4 hours to get everyone back to the way they needed to be. I so wish some of you lived near by. It would be great to have someone to trust enough to keep an eye on the animals. The Iguanas hadnt been fed 2 had no water. I feel like I let them down. They are all good now and they are getting spoiled. I bought every green and veggie they can eat along with thier fruits. I have come to realise without me around here they would die.
Ok I am done venting.

I'm so sorry you had to come back to that. It must be so upsetting! Who was supposed to be caring for them? At least they are all okay now, Crush. 4 days is not that long. Good thing it wasn't a few weeks.
That was why I had the idea of vacation share for people on this site. I worry about leaving mine, too.

The kids and the GF usually help out. 4 days is long for the Iguanas to me. When it comes to my animals I am a clean freak. Windows water bowls everything has to be spottless. I clean everyday when I am home for those who need it. I clean and top off every water bowl everyday. All of the animals cats,dogs,snakes,lizards and turtles are like my kids I took them in and it is my job to make sure they have everything all the time.

Crush....it sounds like you need to join/form a local herp society. I've never had to ask anyone from our herp society to check in on my animals while I'm away but I know they would.

I would have been furious if I had a BF and he didn't take care of them while I was gone for several days... Absolutely furious. I'm so sorry you came back home to that, but at least your babies have you now to spoil them.
