A couple people have made comments and talked to me about this.
They are having problems.....and it seem I am too.
So here is the survey.
1. who is your rodent supplier
2. How long have you been using them?
3. How is your snake poop? (watery waxy)
Thank you.
this problem is more prevalent than you think.

Hey Ritchie!
1. RodentPro
2. Since 04/02
3. not watery, definitely firm. Don't think it's waxy.....(has firmed up for the rescues who were eating live mice)
What's up?

I buy mine at a couple of local pet stores. One is a reptile shop so breeds and freezes their own. The other, I'm not sure where they get theirs. But Ted's poo is pretty firm.

well I get all of mine from Rodentpro and I have no problems with runny or messy poo. I have noticed in the past that if I let my temps sway a little on the high side their poo really gets runny pretty quick. I'm sure you know that already though.
Let us know what's going on? What's the back story on this question?

I have been using Rodent Pro for about a year and a half. I have had problems with oily, waxy, foul stools, but I wasn't sure where the problem was coming from. My snakes have shown no other problems, just messy cleanups I've decided to switch back to Brian Hahn, I've never had a problem with his frozen rats.

I use RodentPro(over a year now), and never noticed any problems until I picked up a couple of new animals that were not accustomed to taking F/T. So I have to get live and P/K. I started seeing runny/Waxy/Stinky poo when feeding with the animals I was picking up from a local retile store. All this has made me think better of my supplier, and I am now getting from another location (which is closer to my house anyway!) So this move will be a win-win for me and my snakes.

1. Who is your rodent supplier? Local supplier
2. How long have you been using them? Since '97
3. How is your snake poop? Depends on the animal and the food item.
Chicks/Mice = Very Watery (are feed to difficult feeders or neos, might be due to that)
Rats = Firm
Rabbits = Firm
Hens = Watery with distinct odor
