Stowaway
I had a surprise in my trunk last night . . . a lovely little snake was trying to get back into a bag of cypress. I had picked it up (the bag) Monday after work and had not brought it into the house. After work yesterday stopped for a couple things at the grocery store and upon opening the trunk saw this little guy. Went home, put stuff in the freezer and then went directly to the shop and got the owner. Figured the snake had escaped and stowed away. It had shed and pooped (nice shed) in the trunk. Well . . . the little devil did not like the bright light when the trunk opened up again and slid under the back seat. *sigh*
Hannah (the owner) found a couple guys to take my car apart in a shop behind the store. aaaack!!! I never knew so much stuff could be removed from a car!!!!!!!!! I learned alot about the previous owners of my car last night - party animals for sure. But no sign of the snake. So told Hanah to get me a water dish and a carrier (I'm packing - it's packed) and I would bring it back the next day. haha The guy put my car back together and we put the bags back into the trunk and off I went to finally get some dinner.
Got home - went inside to get some water . . . poor little thing had to be thirsty after 3 days in my trunk . . . opened the trunk and voila - there he was again. So I picked him up - he was very unhappy and very hissy but never offered to strike. A neighbor was walking by and got the carrier opened up for me and in he went. Took him inside and called Hanah - she was very happily surprised at how quickly he had been caught. She came and got him and was so very glad to see him. My big excitement for the week - at least until my yard sale tomorrow. Here are a couple poor pics of the beautiful little thang . . . and I'm outta here. Having a moving sale tomorrow . . . and have discovered I'm nuts for doing this alone . . .

It is an odd looking little fella isn't it? Looks like a kingsnake of some kind...kinda like a grayband crossed with something else. Why do you buy cypress at a pet store? It's 2 something for a bag you can barely carry at Home Depot or Lowes.
