I had a problem with Dennis Miller's statement actually, because we didn't even have a pledge of allegience in this country until the Russians, Polish, Hungarian and so forth began coming into the country in the late 1800's. They instituted the pledge in order to have these would be communists and believers in 'possible other gods', pledge their troth to this country and their percieved incarnation of god, so that they could have a sort of 'contract' with the newcomers, as if 'words' really change what's in a man's heart and not action! It was rather twisted, much like all the pictures of the early battles of our country where George Washington is seen flying the stars and stripes, which were totally artist's impressions, because he never carried that flag in battle. The major war of Independance flag was the 'Don't Tread On Me' and even that wasn't widely flown. Resources to check for this information are "Lies My Teacher Told Me" byJames W. Lowen (his other book is "Lies Across America", and any of the books written by the historical author "Rick Shenkman". Rick also does spots on History channel international meant to debunk the historical myths.
So the justice was just going by that which was Constitutional and the forefathers of this country were deists and theists, take Ben Franklin for instance, he was definately not 'of the faith' so to speak, nor were many others... Most of them were members of the Masonic order, of which the Square mentioned is part of their magical seal as are the plumb bob (read pendulum). The 'all seeing eye' is well known to be that of 'Horus' the ancient god of Egypt. The pyramid is used to symbolize man reaching for heaven in temples of the gods... etc... etc... ad nauseum. The piece posted here sent to you in email is largely a Christian translation meant to lend credence to some sort of god and country campaign of the moment. People tend to do that when they're in fear because of situations like we've found ourselves in this last year with the WTC and Pentagon attacks, and why they do that and stick their heads in the sand rather than ask the pertinent questions about how we got ourselves into this mess beginning in the 1950's with Iran, is beyond me... but then, there you go... when I say got 'ourselves into this', I mean our politicians and not the American people. Most Americans are doing what they have to in order to protect what they have, but I'll say this without reservation, KNOWLEDGE is Power, however, buying the latest religiously motivated or media focused propaganda is tantamount to suicide and we have too many tendencies to do that in this country because we're comfortable. That's what really scares the S**t outta me.

That triangle thingy is a symbol of the Illuminati, not all that blah blah about the country whoozit. Ben Franklin was a member. The Skull & Bones, the Bilderbergs, and the Tri-Lateral Commission are the big boys of the Illuminati. Thenthere's the Freemasons (who hasn't heard of them?). Clinton was a member of the Bilderbergs, Bush Sr was a Skull & Bones I beleive, and something like 90% of the people who signed our Declaration of Independence or Constitution (I'm always bad at remembering specifics . . .) openly claimed memebership to the freemasons.
Now, if I really wannalisten to the conspiracy peeps, "NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM" means, more precisely, "New World Order," aka the goal of the Illuminati to unite the world under one gov't, economy, etc. Then again, the German leader, French leader, quite a few of our presidents, several UN peeps, and WTO and another have a TON of these guys.
Y'all must think I've turned crazy conspiracy theoriest now, lol. I read too much, and know too many Freemasons.
And I agree with Sophia. Even as I began reading that, I could feel the bias coming off in waves, hehe.

Nahhh, everyone should know by now that if you ain't part of the secret clique, you ain't getting nowhere... Sad but true. Just the way the old capitalistic cookie crumbles I suppose, been that way through history.
>>

I had seen that thing before, it was sent to me unsolicited and I tore it apart historical fact by historical fact with footnote references no less, and sent it right back to them. Never heard form them since! Imagine that! I can't seem to edge them into a good debate for some reason, must be that historical accuracy thingie... hmmm *G*
Good to know someone else who reads as much as I do!
Nice to meet you Voodoo, did I read somewhere that you're from Michigan? If so, we lived up there for a while, Jon is from Mt. Morris and we lived in Lansing for a while, Grand Ledge before that.

<--- Yes, you did read somewhere about me being in MI, lol.
Oh, it doesn't sound like I read as much as you do. At least not on history. I ready more sociology and philosophy, hehe. i'd just happened to see a thing on Secret Societies on History Channel the day before, and it brought back all the stuff I actually read about something like 3 years ago.
I do tend to border on crazy conspiracy theoriest at times, tho. Like, I won't put my fingerprints in the system (even tho I'm sure they're already there).
I moved to TX about 4 years ago, then moved back up here a few months ago. I was driving down the main street of my home town (about 20 minutes South), and saw the Three Rivers Masonic Temple. I was so startled, lol. Understatement.

So you like philosophy! Cool, have you read any Kant? Nietzsche?

I wish I could say I hadn't but I worked in a Nuclear facility for several years and was in and around law enforcement as a wife and volunteer.

Mmmm. Nietzsche and Sartre are the ones I read. I've always liked Existentialism. I've been trying to read Kirkigard (sp?), but he makes my head hurt.
My mom wanted to move to NC, too, but she ended up going to Tx instead, hehe.

Aww bless you, favorites of mine indeed! My favorite quote from Nietzsche is; "Faith is for those who don't want to know the truth."

ROFLMAO, yep, rather dry and droning on and on. Try the Kant, you'd probably enjoy him. Some of his stuff is printed on the web and there are several good sites to download books for free on the web where I've seen his work.

LOL What took her to Texas if you don't mind me asking? I have a few friends there, but I've never yet been. I need to get my butt out there and visit!

I have Kant's Proglemana or SOMETHING like that. I've been meaning to read it. but then again, I;ve been meaning to read Kirkegard's "Attack Upon Christiandom," too. Too many books!
My favorite N quote is "There are no moral phenomena, only moral interpretations of phenomena."
My step-dad got a job with Applied Materials in Austin. So, down there we went. I still miss it every now and then. There were some awsome things to do down there, which I haven't found anything of equal coolness up here. But I will eventually.

LOL I'm in that pickle and now reading two books at once, "American Gods" and "The Prophet's Way" at the same time, talk about confusion! LOL I'm also leafing through Eliade's Shamanism - he's good, but he's dry like Kirkegard's kind of dry... I suggest reading it at the bottom of a lake! LOL
>>

Ahh yes... and what was that one about the two narcotics of Europe being 1) alcohol and the other 2) Christianity... He was too much *G*

I hear ya. I remember the only thing in Michigan besides the winters that really impressed the heck out of me, was the fact that you could swim and snorkel without worrying about water mocs! LOL Nah, I really liked it there for the first three years we lived there, but you have to remember that I was in the Capitol city not to far from MSU, so culturally there were a lot of choices to pick from and never a dull moment! I did enjoy that, but at the heart of it all I'm a country girl and I love being out in the woods where I can open the windows at night and listen to the cicadas and the frogs, nothing quite like it in the world. Here in NC we have the best of all worlds really as far as enjoyment and scenery goes, we have the mountains, the dunes, the coast, the flatlands, you really can't beat it, all in one state, but I think in order for a person to become more well rounded and socially accepting of society at large, you really have to move away from home and live in different cultural situations for extended periods of time, it just rids you immediately of the small-minded, small town complex that plagues so many of the troublemakers in our country today. Maybe it should be a rule of law that you have to climb out of the cultural box every now and then to see the rest of the world more clearly *G*.
