HELP!!! need advice

Ok so heres the deal, today my little brother told me that two days ago he found a butterfly in the road, I asked him if i could see it, he was keeping it in a crayon box, so i set it up in a 10 gallon so it wouldnt suffer anymore,I have no idea what it is and it is missing about 1/2 half of a wing and can somebody please tell me,Moth or Butterfly, if so what kind? and also what does it eat?

It is a moth of some sorts. I have no idea on moth and butterfly care but you may want to check out gardenweb.com and see if anybody in the butterfly forum might have some ideas for you. A lot of the people on there hand raise them from eggs to adult.

It looks like a moth...I don't know what they eat other than fruit bits,from what I understand.Hmmmm.....I will do a search on this real quick...

I didn't find one that looked like it but it seems moths eat different leaves,also.

moths...lizards eat moths. try feeding it to one of those...

j/k it could have chemicals
